Bintan Island Indonesia

The staff was amazing, so many memories made with them, massive shoutouts to Garfield, Mathew, Kimi, Zan, Al, Zippy Aki, Bea, Abby, Rere, Michael, Harry, Moshe, Jeevan, Harty, Chase, Anne, all the staff working behind the scenes and everyone I didn't name here. All the circus crew were so kind and talented. The teens club was amazing as we did everything in the resort each day (thanks Kimi). The shows were a must watch, with all the staff having different talents that they showed off. the food was amazing, and there was so much of it. There was so much to do all day, every day. If I could give more I would, and I would go back in a heartbeat.

The GOs were fantastic as expected. Rooms and facilities were quite old but upgrading is ongoing. Good variety of food and basic cocktails/drinks were sufficient and we didn't have any issues moving around the resort. The Spa team were patient and paid attention to details. Amenities were good and I like that they have a ceiling fan and a portable air unit in the room which helps keep the room cool.
The private beach was really beautiful and clean, with a nice beach bar. Transport for our excursion were smooth. The Kelong seafood dinner was so-so and there was no sunset for the sunset cruise but the guide was really good.
Only complains :
-Booked a twin sharing and got assigned a King-bed room although 2 confirmations were received that we are assigned a twin sharing room. It was rectified quickly by the reception team though. We were placed to 1 room temporarily, and then got assigned to the correct room. We couldn't open the door to the balcony as it was stuck.
-Some houseflies hovering around the dining areas.
-Sports equipments were quite old (kayak and paddles were tattered, pool table fabric were torn and some balls were missing,
-Departure receptionist team at the Bintan ferry terminal forgot to pass us our passports and tickets for boarding as the system didn't ring.
Other than that, We had a great experience and will definitely go back.

We spent 6 days at Club Med Bintan. We enjoyed wonderful food, plenty of activities and friendly staff that made us all feel welcome.

Our girls enjoyed making new friends at mini club and had a fun time with their bubbly G.O. Kimi who was so good with the kids.

The circus team of Abby, Bea, Zippy and Aki were very patient and playful teachers and were amazing with everyone and was the highlight of our trip.

We had a long trip from London + ferry + bus to arrive and felt a little overwhelmed at arrival to download apps and all the information. However, were so grateful our room was ready early so we could keep awake and go for a swim and shower etc. Once we had a good sleep that night, despite the fact it rained the entire 3 days we were there, we made the most of what activities were available (be mindful if it raining some of the activities will not be permitted) and were grateful to be warm and cared for! Yes, the decor is dated and it is clearly a huge task to renovate such a large hotel, however everything was in working order and when it wasn't, it was quickly rectified and it was super clean.

Nothing was too much trouble for any one of the amazing staff we encountered, our son was treated like royalty. The food and the people is a definite highlight, but also just how relaxing the whole thing felt, despite the ability to access so many great activities and facilities so you can be 'on the go' if you wish. We've become Club Med advocates for our next relaxing holiday and can't thank the Bintan Island Crew enough for offering us a few days of utter relaxation.

My overall experience at Club Med Bintan was good. The services was exceptional and undeniable superb. Bathroom in the room is clean . Only the tv is out of order , despite calling the technician to fix it but still not able to watch the tv. Foods were very nice .. lots of choices to choose. I will come again if I ever plan to visit Bintan Lagoi Beach again.
The minus point was the monkey tends to ransack your things if the door at the balcony is not closed properly.
