Palmiye Turkey

We had a wonderful family vacation with our extended family of 13 people over the past week at Club Med Palmiye!

Just before our arrival, Berfin, the Accommodation Manager, arranged our rooms close together, which was a huge help with our young children and their grandmother. A big thank-you to Berfin for making this happen!

A big shout-out to the amazing water-ski team, especially Huso and Eray, and also to their supervisor Ewan. 👏👏 👏They made sure our 9-year-old had fun, felt comfortable, and learned to water ski. They also helped many of our family members enjoy the experience!

Yusuf from the tennis and padel team was also extremely helpful, always finding us a court at the last minute whenever our little ones wanted to play.

We also had an excellent sunset sailing experience organized by Selcuk and the amazing sailing team. This was definitely a must-try experience!

All the bar employees were incredibly helpful and cheerful. Some names that come to mind who were extremely attentive are Ahmet, Filiz, Baris, and Murat, with a special thanks to the bar supervisor, Ahmet.

The food was the best we have had at any Club Med we have visited. We especially loved the variety of local cuisine, the fresh seafood, and the many fish options. Food & Beverage Manager Burak, Chef Bayram, and their entire team deserve five stars! The Turkish food is definitely a must-try, and there is an amazing variety of it throughout the resort.

The restaurant staff was also incredibly helpful throughout our stay, always doing their best to accommodate our large group and arrange tables for us. Yasin and all the other restaurant employees were friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful.

All in all, we had a wonderful experience and really felt that everyone genuinely enjoys working here. That positive energy creates such a great atmosphere throughout the resort. Another big thank-you to the Entertainment Manager, Amine, and Chef de Village Oussama for helping create such a fantastic environment.

Thank you, Club Med Palmiye, for an unforgettable family vacation! We will definitely remember this trip fondly.

One tip: August can get extremely hot! We had a couple of days when it was simply unbearable to stay anywhere that was not air-conditioned. Also, keep in mind that many of the restaurant and dining areas are not air-conditioned, so the heat can be quite uncomfortable during the hottest days.

The various activities are well organized and evenly distributed throughout the day. Food and drinks are also provided at the right places and times. The wind was blowing most days, so I missed some open-water activities, but a Turkish guy named Huseyin was kind enough to offer me a private water-skiing lesson, which he gave early in the morning when the sea was calm and quiet. His brief but very clear instructions allowed me to enjoy gliding across the water already for the first time in my life.

The Waterski GO Team (Hüso, Ewan and Erai) was excellent! In particular Hüso and Ewan really went out of their way to help us have the best possible experience. Thank you guys!

The Circus and the Archery GO Teams were also very friendly and very accommodating.

The GOs made it worth it.

On the down side, my kids were not included in the same age group and had to do all sports activities separately, even though the younger one was missing only a few months to be in the teens group. My offer to sign any desired waiver was rejected. This is definitely a huge minus, and should be handled with more flexibility!
