Lijiang China

While this stay felt a bit different from the "usual" Club Med experience, it was still enjoyable. Club Med Lijiang offers something truly special, blending the brand’s signature hospitality with the stunning natural beauty and deep history of the region.

The highlights for us were undoubtedly the incredible scenery and the proximity to the beautiful ancient villages of Baisha and Yuhu, which provided such a rich cultural backdrop to our holiday.

What really made us feel at home, though, was the exceptional GO team:
Rodrigo & Zella at the bar, who always kept the energy high and the drinks flowing.
Jeanette, who took such wonderful care of our kids, allowing us to truly relax.
Allen & Arya, who were great company and made our evenings so much fun.
The restaurant team who fed us well and accommodated our needs.

A massive thank you to Chief Nate, who looked after our large group so well and went out of his way to accommodate every request we had.

o This year I've been working hard all year, so I'm rewarding myself for the New Year by getting out of my shell and exploring the world.
o When booking this trip, I told my partner that we'd be staying at ‘Club Med’ Lijiang, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
o ‘Club Med’ is a French resort (since 1950) that pioneered the all-inclusive concept of vacationing, which includes food, drinks, activities, and sports in one package.
o In the past (and perhaps even today), Club Med was seen as a place that promoted hedonism because it emphasized comfortable, enjoyable & relaxation through its all-inclusive service.
o We loved 'Club Med'. Because the resorts concepts for both the architecture and interiors that match their location.
o For this trip, we chose 'Lijiang,' located in southwestern China (adjacent to Tibet), which is home to ‘Naxi’ the ethnic minority.
o And it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So, the buildings, accommodations, and decorations all incorporate native art and culture, blending in seamlessly.
o People often ask if traveling to 'Club Med' is expensive?... I'd say, it's not as expensive (as you might think). We booked our accommodation directly with Club Med, and the flights were booked separately.

Location was beautiful. We especially loved having tea at the campsite overlooking Yulong Mountain. We spent walking around sipping drinks and enjoying the view.

Considering our trip in Dec, the temp was mild 10-20 degrees Celsius. So no heavy jackets required. There’s also free laundry with detergent with dryer onsite, so don’t have to pack too much.

My daughter enjoyed the mini club and the GO’s attending to her during the day.

We stayed in for 5 days and went out to the ancient town for 1 day to shop. Since Didi is affordable, getting to Lijiang ancient town was also easy.

This was my first Clubmed in China and it beyond my expectation. Dylan was very helpful during my stay and provide all the information that we need. We are very lucky to have very nice weather during our stay.
