Starting with the incredible location — this place is simply stunning. It’s the only hotel on the island, with an absolutely beautiful beach, and the setting is truly amazing. There is also plenty to do throughout the day, so even when it rained, there was never really a chance to get bored thanks to the wide range of activities available.

That said, the hotel definitely needs some updating. The gym and cardio room in particular need attention — some of the equipment feels very old, makes a lot of noise and squeaks, and at times it honestly felt like it could fall apart. This was quite concerning, especially for a hotel of this standard.

The food was good overall, although nothing particularly exceptional. The service was generally very friendly and everyone was lovely and welcoming. However, I wouldn’t say it was quite at the level of five-star service I expected. During dinner and other meals, the waiters sometimes forgot about us or didn’t check back, so there was a feeling that we weren’t really being looked after in the way you would expect at a five-star property.

One other thing worth mentioning is the noise in the evenings. I had an apartment where it wasn’t really possible to go to bed early because of the evening entertainment and parties. I completely understand that this is part of the atmosphere, but I think guests should have the option to choose a quieter room when booking. If you are a light sleeper, I would definitely recommend bringing earplugs.

Overall, there were quite a few small details and little things that could be improved, especially considering the hotel’s five-star positioning. However, the location, beach, atmosphere and range of activities make it a place I would still recommend — just with slightly lower expectations when it comes to the facilities and service.

An amazing holiday for our family of 12, from baby to grandparents. There was an activity and place for everyone and wonderful energy. Amazing morning walks around the island, snorkeling, sailing, exercise classes. The rooms are unusually spacious for a Club Med, spotless and with an inviting bath and lovely balconies. Big shout out to Yanis, the chef de village who is everywhere all the time and attuned to his guests, Alon in the sailing club who towed our kayak back when the winds picked up, and Tarik who was such a joy during the morning hikes. Only downside is the noise from the night parties that reaches the rooms, and the weather which is totally unpredictable. Best Club Med ever!

During our stay we were fortunate to meet several exceptional GOs. Fatou at the beach bar, always smiling and always kind, the warmth of the beach itself. Alon, Vinod and the entire team of instructors created an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical. Tamar, who welcomed us on arrival, was warm and utterly charming. Lucy, who led the yoga sessions, was lovely and made every class a pleasure. And Yanis, who oversees the whole operation, does so with genuine charisma and a spirit of warmth that sets the tone for everything around him.

We left with memories our whole family will carry for years to come.
