I had a truly wonderful stay and can only recommend this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything was designed to make you feel relaxed and carefree. The food was excellent throughout the stay, with great variety and quality, and there are plenty of activities to choose from, whether you’re into sports, relaxation, or a mix of both.

What really makes the difference, though, is the staff. Most of the GOs are genuinely kind, open, and welcoming, and they create a very friendly, at-home atmosphere. You can really feel that they care about guests having a good time. A special mention to Lavish from watersports, who was particularly friendly and made the experience even more pleasant.

Overall, it’s the perfect place if you want to combine great food, sports, relaxation, and peace of mind. I had a great time and left feeling refreshed and happy — I would definitely come back.

Gaby is a true coach at his core. He treats everyone with great professionalism and knows how to explain the technique in a clear and accessible way, so that every guest who comes to him feels they’ve accomplished something truly amazing. He is an athlete at heart and an exceptional team leader who genuinely cares about every member of his team, always giving credit where it’s due and making sure everyone has a positive, professional, and unforgettable experience.

We came to Mauritius as a large family group, flying in from all over the world for two weeks to celebrate New Year’s and a special family event.

Our arrival, unfortunately, was a bit rough. Two red-eye flights, overtired kids, no sleep, a lost suitcase, endless airline back-and-forth—and then no transfer waiting. On the bright side: the Club Med rep quickly arranged a taxi, and our cheerful driver managed to brighten up our mood.

First impressions at Club Med d’Albion were strong. Maria gave us a very warm welcome, check-in was swift, rooms were ready, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The grounds are stunning and immaculately maintained. The rooms, while comfortable, do show some wear though.

The first couple of days were an adjustment. We were out of sync with the Club Med rhythm—sleeping late, missing activities, arriving at meals at the wrong times—which is frustrating with kids. Organizing large group meals, excursions, and a private family event also took persistence. Tip: for anything special/extra, go straight to management—it saves time.

By day three, the island pace kicked in. Familiar faces, relaxed smiles, tan lines forming.

• A huge thank-you to Mehdi and Francesco for creating a beautiful, intimate beach setup for our family event—perfect lighting, private bar, and lounge seating.
• Thanks as well to Esteban from the tourism office for a tailored island excursion that hit the mark.

By week two, we were fully in the Club Med groove.

• The sports program was excellent, with something for every age and energy level. Tennis, jogs, Le Fort workouts, yoga, aqua gym, archery—thanks to Olivier, Thomas, and many others. Despite the holiday crowds, activities never felt packed, and staff consistently remembered names and made us feel welcome. One minor miss: no medal ceremony at the sports apéro. Small thing—but competitors love their moment.
• A very special shout out to my personal favorites: the circus team (Gaby, Mauricio, Elodie, Marilou and Brundo). The guys work really hard while making you feel like a rockstar:) High energy, very supportive, and absolute highlight of the evening shows.
• The overall vibe of the resort is joyful, playful, and upbeat. A social, club-like atmosphere that makes it easy to connect. By week two, even my preschoolers had formed a full-blown gang, insisted on their own kids’ table, and confidently ordered mocktails at the bar.
• The nightlife, I’m told, was great—personally, full days of sports usually won.
• The spa massage was excellent. The shop was a lifesaver for forgotten beach gear, toiletries, and gifts.
• The calm pool area was perfect for quiet moments

By the end, we didn’t want to leave.
