Valmorel France

We have been in this Club Med for the second time, and this is still a very good Club Med, even if aging : this you can see it on the furniture for example (restaurant, lobby, bedrooms). This might due to the heavy weekly guests turnover, and some lack of respect too...
Rooms are very clean and functionnal but storage place for clothes is kind of ridiculous and not worthy of this standard. I have shown pictures of room 2122 at the reception, but there is not much that they can say or do.
Food is very good and I can only praise the hard work of the kitchen staff and all waiters. I would just like to note that the dishes are not kept warm enough and that's a pity. I also find it regrettable that there are only paper napkins, never a table cloth or real napkins, not even for dinner. This feels really like eating in a cantine, not a restaurant to be honest. I am aware of the ecological aspect, but it does not match for this hotel standard.

Last but not least, I think it's important to point out the staff engagement, not only the GO's. Lots of people are working "behind the scenes" and should also be acknowledged. Just to name only a few who really stood out (in my humble opinion) : Denis (room cleaning), Gia (cleaning in the lobby), Gokhan (waiter in the restaurant), Anne and Louisa (Spa, lovely ladies), Jean-François (fishes cooking).

Everything was great until something went wrong when attention to detail & follow through was lacking. No sign of pre-booked transfer, no (organised & agreed) late arrival food due to delayed hastily organised transfer. Power cut in the room only investigated at 2nd report after a whole night of no electricity.

This was our second Club Med ski holiday this year. We found Valmorel to be welcoming and comfortable. Everyone was attentive and we were made to feel valued. The weather and snow quality were excellent and Pierre from ESF ensureng us!d that we got the best out of the amazing conditions.

The only area for improvement is a general one, and relates to the organisation and efficiancy of transfers from the airport to the resorts. Club Med used to be famous for prompt transfers to and from resorts. However, the disorganisation that we have experienced in recent years seems to be getting worse, resulting in hoards of disgruntled Club Med clientel milling around under the Rolex clock in Geneva Airport- sometimes waiting hours for their transfer.

Great destination. This is our favorite Club Med destination to date.

Fantastic ski conditions even late in the season. Prefect scale for 1-week of ski. Food was delicious.

I came to Club Med Valmorel alone for a week in late March for a ski trip. I left with a full heart, a smile I couldn't shake, new friends, and memories I'll carry for years. That is entirely down to the people — both the incredible team and the wonderful, interesting guests I met along the way.

The ski lessons alone were a joy. There is something about being on the mountain together that brings people out of their shells, and I found myself meeting some truly fascinating fellow GMs that I would not have crossed paths with otherwise.

But it was in the evenings where the magic really happened.

One of the first evenings, Jonathan from reception simply came and sat down next to me at dinner. No fuss, no formality — just that wonderful Club Med spirit of making sure no one ever feels alone. That one moment set the tone for everything that followed. Funny, direct, bubbly and utterly genuine, Jonathan became a constant presence over lunches and dinners for the rest of the trip, along with the other GOs. He was responsible for more laughs than I can count — the kind of deep, genuine laughter that you don't plan for but that stays with you long after. We even joined forces to help arrange a surprise birthday dinner and cake for Emilie. Jonathan, you came for one season and left a lasting mark. The fact that we are still in touch long after the trip ended says everything about the kind of person you are. Valmorel won't quite be the same without you — and neither, honestly, will Club Med. Wherever life takes you next, you'll light up the room.

Emilie, the EGO, brings something to Valmorel that is genuinely hard to define — and that's exactly what makes her special. She has a passion and an energy that you feel rather than see, and a quiet potential to achieve truly great things. She adds a uniqueness to Club Med that the brand is lucky to have.

Over at the boutique, Manon was a warm and friendly presence — but it was Loubna who stopped you in your tracks with a smile that made you feel instantly at home.
Some people you meet on holiday and forget by the time you've unpacked. And then there are people like Loubna — the kind whose kindness stays with you long after you've left. She is warm in the way that feels effortless, joyful in a way that draws you in, and genuine in a way that is increasingly rare. Spending time with her wasn't just pleasant — it was genuinely good for the soul.

I am South African, and I say this with everything I have: Club Med South Africa — if you are reading this, please give Loubna a place in your village next season. She won't just do the job. She will make guests feel seen, welcome, and glad they came. That is a gift. Don't let it go to waste.
