Amazing resort and a very good ski school. Would avoid the petite club for young children

We went for half term break and picked club med as they were famous for being child friendly. It was my 5 and 3 year old children first time skiing and my husband was learning as well. The accommodation was spacious, lots of storage space, the ski school was very good and we could arrange private lessons for my husband and younger child. The mini club was very good espiecally Peppo and David was especially helpful when i was confused on where to go with my son, or if i was running behind and didn’t want my son to miss lesson. Peppo even brought my son up the mountain to meet the group when i had left his ski pass behind. They were always friendly and ready to help.

The petite club is however where the resort loses a star. They were unhelpful and always made us feel bad for putting my child in later although she had private ski lessons which i had to take the only time available, i would have thought as it was all club med arranged they would be more accommodating. The girl with glasses always had a sour unaccommodating face and is extremely unhelpful. They didn’t report what my child ate accurately, gave her ice cream without reporting. My daughter fell ill at the end of the trip which might or might not have been because of their care. The place didn’t look like there was enough activities for a group of toddler staying in for hours.

I would go again but only after my daughter is old enough that i don’t have to go near the petite club.

Food was good and as expected at a buffet. Mattheo at reception is amazing and was so helpful when we checked in late. The ladies at the boutique was ever so helpful when i needed spare socks, bags, goggles etc. Very well stocked shop. Overall a great resort, if you don’t have to go near the petite club!

My family learnt to ski here and the teachers at the ski school is great however the amazing beginner slope is at sestriere and i would recommend taking the coach here after a few days as it is only 10 minutes away. If you are learning with the group they would automatically arrange the trip to sestriere.
