Tomamu Hokkaido Japan

Club Med Tomamu is a paradise for winter lovers. The ski slopes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, with convenient ski-in, ski-out access directly from the resort. Hokkaido’s famous powder snow is simply world-class—light, soft, and perfect for both skiing and snowboarding.
There are also wonderful activities for non-skiers, such as snow trekking, sledding, and ice skating, making the resort enjoyable for everyone. A very special thank you to Tan, who was incredibly kind and patient during my ski lessons.

We have been joining Clubmed Tomamu since my kid was 5 years old and this is where we first learned skiing together. The best thing they can drop off kids and they take very good care of the kids . We came here every year (except Covid) and now my daughter is 13 years old and she is skiing the black tracks and she is doing much better than the adults. We have tried different resorts like in Hakuba and Clubmed Kiroro but still we think Tomamu is the best. It’s brainless here and everything is so well organised and kids are allowed to play, make friends and explore by themselves. Another impressive thing it’s the safety standards here is very high as you can see from their staffs stationed around the chairlifts and gondola station. Last but not the least, our coach for club 2 Chris from UK is excellent and experienced in teaching with great class management. We will definitely visit again in the future.

I am here for 2nd season and my son was very happy with the ski instructor. First, he was reluctant to move from kids club to adults group class but at the end he found few friends at similar age 12-14 years old… then it was very fun. I myself had accident last year when I joined the group class, so decided to take private lesson and my ski instructor, Tan, is very supportive and skillful, she help me to build up confident on the ski. We will definitely to go back there again because of Tan and the Thai receptions.

We had a wonderful ski holiday at Club Med Tomamu last week. Travel and ski arrangements were well organized and hassle free. Our commendation goes in particular to the ski instructor Chris D. His focussed and patient instruction helped my son grasped the technique to transit from wedge turns to parallel turns and also boosted his confidence in challenging new runs. Most happy that my son got promoted from Club 2 to Club 3 after two day’s parallel turn lessons by Chris! The only drawback is Club Med gets expensive during peak season.

This is, in my opinion, the best premium ski-in, ski-out resort, with a perfect location right by the lifts and gondola. My family and I had the best time leveling up our skiing with our private coaches, Rodo and Marti—they knew exactly which slopes would challenge and excite us, all while providing expert safety guidance. I also loved the amazingly friendly staff, the outdoor onsen, and the incredible buffet spreads. We’ve already booked to return for New Year’s Eve and Feb 2027. Can't wait to be back!
