Visiting a Club Med resort soon? Across our resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida, we have implemented health & hygiene protocols to ensure your total piece of mind during your stay with us. To create our ‘Safe Together’ promise, we worked alongside government agencies, advisors and a committee of doctors and professors within the scientific community to implement measures to ensure the highest Hygiene and Safety standards to take care of you and your loved ones. Our teams both in and out of our Resorts are here to ensure your safety is our number one priority.

Cristal Certification

Club Med processes will be Certified by Cristal

  • Certification Program by International Safety Audit Agency - Cristal, including new POSICheck COVID-19 Prevention Certification​
  • All protocols have been adapted to meet or exceed local regulations and are subject to modification as regulations change

Airport Transfers

Making sure you travel safely

  • Social distancing from the moment we pick up you up at the airport.
  • Vehicle capacities will be reduced to ensure the necessary social distancing, ensuring your privacy and safety
  • Hand sanitizers available in the vehicle
  • All Club Med providers and teams will sanitize vehicles after each trip

Front Desk

Making sure we welcome you safely

  • Temperature check for guests on arrival
  • Plexiglass protection on all reception desk
  • Floor markings encouraging safe 6 feet social distance

Common Areas

Making sure you enjoy the Resort safely

  • Wearing of protective face masks in accordance with local regulations
  • Reinforced cleaning measures and increased frequency of sanitization of common areas: halls, lobby, restrooms, corridors, etc.
  • Sanitizing with a dedicated product on all critical touch points
  • Dedicated measures for elevators (sanitization, signage etc.)

Guest Rooms

Making sure you sleep safely

  • New process for linen cleaning, including systematic washing above 70°C / 160°F
  • Full sanitization of guestrooms after each departure
  • Masks and gloves provided to housekeeping and maintenance teams
  • During daily cleaning, a reinforced sanitization process will be carried out on major touch points

Restaurants & Bars

Making sure you sip & savor safely

  • Reduced capacity in restaurant, allowing for more distance in-between tables
  • Increase the range of opening hours to offer more dining flexibility
  • Expanded outdoor dining areas
  • Focus on single plated dishes and custom preparation, giving chefs more freedom to express their culinary creativity

Children’s Supervision*

Taking care of your little ones

  • Children to be accompanied by one parent for drop-off and pick-up
  • Temperature checks of each child. No access to facilities if temperature exceeds 38°C / 100°F
  • Reinforced hand washing: every hour

Making sure you can exercise safely

Sports* offered at reopening:

  • Land sports: tennis, golf, cardio training area, fitness center
  • Water sports: kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing, sailing
  • Trapeze
  • Outdoor yoga and fitness classes

  • Hygiene checklist adapted for each sport: cleaning frequency, capacity and set-up.
  • Group sporting events will be temporarily suspended to respect social distancing measures and are subject to local regulations

Making sure you can tan safely

  • Verify water pH levels, twice a day
  • Spacing of beach and pool lounge chairs at 2 meters / 6 feet
  • Sanitization of floaties after each use (armbands, boards)

  • Sanitization of cabins between each guest
  • Adapted treatment protocols (no facials, etc.)
  • Temporary closure of hammam and sauna facilities
  • Social distancing maintained throughout the spa journey

Entertainment & Ambiance

Programming based on smaller scale events & leveraging Club Med’s generous outdoor spaces:

  • Live concert or DJ set
  • Acoustic music on the beach
  • Acrobatic show over the pool
  • Family movie night under stars

Meetings & Events

Making sure you can work safely

  • Deep Cleaning and sanitizing protocols in all the areas related to group’s working sessions, incentives and meetings
  • Systematic mask wearing for the M&E, housekeeping and F&B teams working in these spaces
  • Measures taken to ensure physical distancing and avoid spread of contamination between particpants
