This is our 2nd trip to Ixtapa, 5th Club Med trip. The location and beach at Ixtapa is our favorite. It really is a stunning setting on the Pacific Ocean. The GOs at Ixtapa were outstanding--friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The Chief of Village (Daniel) was always present and always interacting with GMs. Out of our 5 trips, he is the ONLY Chief that I recall. He is a great ambassador. Other GMs that deserve recognition-- Nicole, Izzy, Cooper, Gerardo (2 of them), Candela, Jersey, and Ceci. Each of them was enthusiastic and kind-- to my wife and I, and especially my children. They are assets to the Club Med brand, and examples of why my family repeatedly chooses to visit. The negatives are the hard product. Our room in Jadaro needed a severe remodel. The fit and finish in the bathroom was very disappointing. The food and beverages, including the staff, were underwhelming. Inconsistent quality at every bar. The service for dinner at Miramar was unprofessional and chaotic. Staff was more attentive to local nationals.
See on TripAdvisorManuala was great with yoga and meditation - we did not miss any sessions that week. Jorge and Luna were always present for tennis and pickleball - even very patient with beginners and very knowledgeable.
Jersey is a fantastic saxo player and singer.
We had a lot of fun while enjoying the beach and relaxing time. The perfect combo!
Thank you Ixtapa team.
See on TripAdvisorYou'll get better quality food and most likely better service! After 30 Club Meds, tis is absolutely the worst experience ever!
Loved the others!
See on TripAdvisorHighly recommend Club Med Ixtapa Pacific. I was at this resort about 10 years ago and always wanted to go back. I was so happy when I could finally make it work. Went with 3 friends and I had talked up Xtapa before going. They were impressed with our experience. The GO staff went above and beyond! Restaurant staff were amazing. Thank you Club Med Ixtapa for taking such great care of us!!!
See on TripAdvisorWe've been visiting Club Med off and on since the early '90s, and it never gets old. Whether you're coming with family, friends, as a couple, or even across multiple generations, it never disappoints. Ixtapa is our favorite by far: the perfect size to get to know GOs and GMs, small enough to feel intimate but large enough to find a quiet spot. Ixtapa is a bit more difficult to get to but well worth it.
Daniel was the Chef du Village during our most recent trip and he assembled a fantastic group of GOs. They remember your name almost right away and bring energy and enthusiasm to activities well into the night. We much prefer the villages where the GOs put on the shows and ask if they can sit with you at meals. We can't wait to go back again next year. Shout outs to: Luna, Thais, Edgar, Paulo, Pablo, Sammy, Naomi and so many more.
