Better late than never!

We spent a week here with our son in March 2025.

We absolutely loved Club Med Miches. This is a quieter area of the Dominican and is just starting to become more developed.

The property was beautiful and the facilities were amazing.

We loved the buffet and the food was great quality.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many of the guests spoke French which is common for Club Med and was never an issue for us to still communicate and meet some great people.

We did the onsite excursions which was super convenient. The sunset party on the beach may have been one of my favourite moments.

A huge shoutout to all the staff who made this a great family vacation!

We have a 7 month old and this was our first family vacation. It was everything we wanted and more. The weather was perfect — which is important since it’s the cusp of hurricane season and the weather apps think that means daily rain (it does not; just the occasional tropical thunder storm), the food was great (so much fresh raw seafood & not a day of stomach upset), the activities were fabulous (thank you to the entire water sports team & jhony at archery); the circus team was incredibly skilled and above all the Baby Club child care was fantastic. Our little girl has never been in daycare, so we didn’t know how she would react & I was a stressing over the potential quality of her care while also desperately wanting time off. My worries were quickly assuaged when I realized there were more adults working than babies being cared for on some days! At max there were maybe 2 babies per adult. Our little girl had THE BEST vacation out of all of us, giggled and laughed at drop off and pickup, cuddled sweetly with her care givers and came back to us safe, happy, well napped and well fed every day — giving us 8 hours of child free freedom for the first time since birth. A huge thanks is due to Mai, Sherese and all the other ladies on the team. They made our vacation possible. Thank you!!!

P.s. the staff and guests at this resort were more French/ Spanish speaking than most Club Med resorts and spoke a bit less English. It was perfect for us but may not appeal to all American travelers.

Very good meal with amazing service. Highly recommend! We had Alexander as our waiter and he was great. Good attention to details and very pleasant.

I’ve been to many Club Med resorts in my 18 years of life, and I can confidently say this one is another solid choice. Each Club Med has its own vibe, and that’s what makes them so special—every experience is a little different. That said, this one stood out as one of the best I’ve been to.

First off, the food was fantastic! As part of the Exclusive Collection, Club Med Michès definitely delivered with outstanding fish and meat plates, full of bold and exciting flavors. I was genuinely impressed by the variety and quality across all meals. One small downside was the guacamole—it wasn’t quite up to Club Med standards. But honestly, that’s one tiny detail in what was otherwise a top-tier culinary experience. They even had caviar and foie gras at the main restaurant, which is insane in the best way!

When it comes to entertainment, I’ve been to some Club Meds where they had shows every night but no one really showed up. Here, they opted for shows every other night—and they were high-quality productions with great energy. I think that balance actually worked better. The resort size was perfect—not too big, so everything was within walking distance, but not too small either, so you could still enjoy peace and quiet in your room without hearing music from the parties.

Now onto the heart of the resort—the G.O.s. The staff here were nothing short of amazing, and a few deserve a special shoutout.

First, DJ Andro and his colleague Uriel. Andro has one of the toughest jobs: pleasing multiple cultures at once through music. During my stay, there were Argentinians, Brazilians, and a large French crowd—and he managed to keep the dance floor alive by blending everyone’s musical tastes in a way that felt effortless. People often underestimate the challenge of being a Club Med DJ—everyone feels their favorite songs should be played because they paid to be there. But Andro and Uriel understood the bigger picture: they were there to keep everyone dancing. And they nailed it.

Next, I want to highlight the Teen Club G.O.s: Nico, Luna, and Séverine. Working with teens is no easy task. Getting teenagers excited, engaged, and participating in activities takes real talent—and they absolutely crushed it. They were approachable, never pushy, and knew exactly how to balance structure with fun. As a teen myself, I appreciated their energy and chill attitude. Talking with them also inspired me personally. I’m hoping to become a G.O. myself next summer, and our conversations really sparked a desire to do a season—or maybe more—in the future.

Jonathan and Tchwezegger were great additions to the evening vibe. Even when they weren’t required to be around, they stayed to help boost the party atmosphere. That kind of dedication is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about the Club Med experience. Alan, who led many of the sports activities, also stood out. He brought top-level energy while always keeping safety a priority. I saw him handle some tough situations calmly and professionally, especially with guests who were being disrespectful or breaking rules. He stayed composed, and that really impressed me.

Lastly, Amine, Mehdi, and Jalal were incredible all-around. While I did feel that this Club Med was missing a bit of that classic G.O.-eats-with-G.M. interaction, Jalal made up for it. He joined us for dinner and had real conversations—it was refreshing and added so much to the experience. Both Mehdi and Amine were super active around the resort—you could always see them involved, present, and giving their all. Their dedication didn’t go unnoticed.

Overall, this experience was top-tier. Sure, there are some small areas for improvement—like the room interiors, which could use a slight refresh to fully match the “Exclusive Collection” label—but the speakers and endless snacks and drinks definitely made up for that. Each Club Med has its unique strengths, and that’s what makes the brand so special. No two are the same, and this one proved just how great that can be.

Hopefully next year I will be picked up as a GO as it has been a life long dream and hope everyone who have the skills and desires to do it should definitely do it!
