Le Massif de Charlevoix is about 1 hour’s drive from Quebec City. The resort is accessible via road (winter tires highly needed), and there are nearby lodgings in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François. There is no regular summer train service in winter, so driving or shuttle services are the most reliable options.
Is Québec Charlevoix suitable for families and beginner skiers?
Yes. The region features family-friendly ski areas such as Mont Grand-Fonds and Le Massif with beginner/green slopes, ski schools for children (from about age 4), and activities off the slopes like sledding, ice skating, snowshoe trails, and lodging with amenities suited to all ages.
